Amarillo, TX : One Woman Critically injured and sent to hospital in Crash after she rear-ended a larger pick-up at South Coulter on Monday afternoon , February 16th 2015

Police continue to investigate a wreck that sent one person to the hospital with major injuries.

Just after 5:30 Monday afternoon, officers say a woman in her 50s, driving a small pickup, was traveling west on Hollywood at a high rate of speed, when she rear-ended a larger pick-up at South Coulter. That crash caused a chain reaction, which led to involve another larger pick-up.

Police say the only driver taken to the hospital was the woman driving the small pick-up.

Her condition, as well as her identity, is unknown at this time, pending notification of next-of-kin.

APD's Traffic Investigation Squad is also reportedly looking into whether intoxicants are a factor in the crash.
