Baltimore, MD : Bicyclist injured after being struck by a car in Edgewater on Sunday morning, July 17, 2016
A bicyclist on Sunday morning was flown to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore for serious, life threatening injuries after being struck by a car, an Anne Arundel County police spokeswoman said.
Shortly after 8 a.m. the county fire department responded to the area of Fiddlers Hill Road and Muddy Creek Road for a report of a bicyclist that had been struck, said fire department spokesman Lt. Craig Oldershaw.
Muddy Creek Road was shut down in both directions near the intersection of Fiddlers Hill Road while an investigation was underway. The road reopened shortly after 10 a.m.
Oldershaw said the bicyclist was a man in his 20s.
