Batavia Township, OH : Drugs suspected in Batavia Township crash on State Route 125 that killed 2 on Monday, 10th December 2018

Two men are dead after a crash on Ohio Pike in Batavia Township Tuesday, officials said, and drugs may be involved.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol reported a multi-vehicle crash around noon on the road also known as Ohio 125.

Troopers said the preliminary investigation shows a 2010 Mazda 6, operated by Douglas Needles, 42, of Amelia, was traveling eastbound on State Route 125.

The vehicle driven by Needles crossed into the westbound lanes of travel and struck two cars, a 2005 Ford Escape operated by Douglas Hewitt, age 55, of Estero, Florida and a 2016 Audi Q3, operated by Lisa Cardarelli, 48, of Cincinnati.
