LAS VEGAS, NV : Man, 56, killed after crash on Blue Diamond on Monday, 8th January 2024

A 56-year-old Las Vegas man is dead after being struck by a vehicle on Blue Diamond Road Monday morning.

According to Las Vegas Metropolitan police, the crash was reported just before 9 a.m. and involved a pedestrian and a vehicle near Mohawk Street.

Police later determined that the male pedestrian was attempting to cross southbound Blue Diamond Road outside a marked crosswalk, failed to yield to a vehicle, and crossed its path in the inside eastbound travel lane.

When a medical team arrived it was determined the man was beyond resuscitation and was pronounced dead at the scene.
