A head-on collision shut down part of Eastway Drive in east Charlotte Tuesday morning.
The crash happened around 7 a.m. near Aubrey Street, closing down the southbound lanes of Eastway Drive for a time.
Police say the driver of a green car was attempting to make a left turn on Eastway Drive from Aubrey Street when they were struck by another driver. Medic took the driver of the green car to Carolinas Medical Center with serious injuries. The other driver was not injured.
No charges are being filed, police say.
