Manchester Township, New Jersey
Authorities say a turkey buzzard caused a motorcycle crash that left two people injured in southern New Jersey.
Manchester Township police tell the Asbury Park Press (http://on.app.com/1NwPPx2) that 46-year-old James Trusnik was riding northbound on Pasadena Road when the buzzard — which had been feeding on a deer carcass — flew in front of him around 1:30 p.m. Sunday.
The Ewing man lost control of the motorcycle, which then crashed. He and a passenger — 47-year-old Dawn Hartzell of Keysville, Virginia — were both taken to hospitals with injuries that are not considered life-threatening.
The accident remains under investigation.
