Denver, CO : Car strikes several people in Denver crash early Thursday morning, April 6, 2017

One person was seriously injured when a car struck several people early Thursday morning in southwest Denver.

The crash happened on the 4800 block of Morrison Road, according to a 3:52 a.m. Denver police tweet. Two or three people were struck, Denver police spokesman John White said.

The driver of the car was arrested.

One person was taken to the hospital with a broken leg, White said.

An investigation is underway. Police are trying to determine whether the suspect was drinking alcohol or was high on drugs, White said.
