Salem ,OR : 35-year-old man Killed after crashing motorcycle on Monday night ,June 29th 2015

A 35-year-old Salem man died Monday night after speeding and crashing his motorcycle.

According to a news release, Chad Lunt was speeding on his Suzuki motorcycle westbound on Edgewater Street NW when he lost control, went off the roadway and crashed into a guard rail.

He was thrown from the motorcycle, which landed in the westbound lanes of Highway 22.

Lunt was pronounced dead at the scene.

A second motorcyclist was driving with Lunt at the time, but he left the scene after the crash.

An investigation remains on going.
