Phenix City, AL : Three people are dead after two vehicles collision at Russell County On Saturday, August 13th, 2016

At least three people are dead after two vehicles collided in a fiery crash Saturday morning on Ala. 26 in Russell County, the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency said.

Cpl. Jess Thornton said the names of the victims will not be released until relatives are notified. Two victims were pronounced dead at the scene and a third was pronounced dead at Midtown Medical Center in Columbus.

Two people injured in crash were transported to the hospital for treatment. They were in critical condition.

Alabama state troopers were called to the crash about 2 miles east of Hurtsboro at 7:20 a.m. CST. The two vehicles collided and burst into flames.

The roadway was blocked until the wreckage was cleared.
