McHenry, IL : One woman injured after a two-vehicle crash in McHenry on Wednesday, April 13, 2016
One woman was taken to an area hospital after a two-vehicle crash in McHenry that left one vehicle on its side, a fire official said Wednesday.
The McHenry Township Fire Protection District was dispatched shortly after 4 p.m. to Route 31 and Shoppers Drive for a reported crash, Battalion Chief Dave Harwood said.
The collision was between two SUVs, he said, and one had ended up on its side.
Firefighters signed off on the woman driver from that vehicle, but the driver of the other SUV was taken to Centegra Hospital – McHenry as a precaution, Harwood said. She showed no obvious injuries on scene.
Along with the fire protection district, the McHenry Police responded to the crash. Sgt. Paul Funk said the at-fault driver was cited for failure to yield turning up, but he did not yet have the names of those involved in the crash Wednesday night.
