LITTLE ROCK, AR: 2 women killed in separate traffic accidents in Arkansas on Monday, November 21st 2016

Arkansas state troopers say two women have died in unrelated single-vehicle traffic mishaps in the state.
Troopers say the first crash occurred at 9:35 a.m. Monday when a car driven by 67-year-old Joyce Rita Barbee of Montrose veered from the northbound lane of Highway 165 north of Portland in Ashley County. The vehicle crossed into the southbound lane, went into a ditch and struck a tree. Barbee was pronounced dead at the scene.
State Police say the other accident occurred at 3:30 p.m. Monday on Highway 1 in Phillips County. Troopers say that a southbound vehicle driven by 41-year-old Linda R. Hooper left the roadway and went into a roadside ditch, struck a culvert and overturned, coming to rest on its top. Hooper was also pronounced dead at the scene.
