EASTON, WA : Oklahoma man hurt in crash outside Easton on Friday, 14th October 2016
A Ponca City, Okla., man was injured Friday afternoon when the SUV he was driving rolled down an embankment off Interstate 90 outside of Easton, the Washington State Patrol reported.
Stephen L. Wade, 22, was taken to KVH Hospital in Ellensburg. An update on his condition was not immediately available Friday evening.
Two of his passengers — Tiffany M. Wade, 30, and an 8-year-old boy, both of Ponca City — were also injured but not taken to the hospital, according to a patrol news release.
Two other passengers — a 1-year-old boy and a 7-year-old girl — were not hurt, the news release said.
Troopers said Wade was westbound about 12:20 p.m. when the Nizzan Xterra left the road to the right and rolled down the embankment, coming to rest on the driver’s side.
The cause of crash and whether to seek any charges against Stephen Wade remained under investigation, troopers said.
All occupants were properly using their seat belts, and intoxicants were not suspected of contributing to the crash, according to the news release.
