1 killed in head-on crash Near Markville Minnesota

One person is dead after a head-on crash in Scott County on Sunday afternoon.The Scott County Sherriff's Office said the crash occurred at about 3:30 p.m. on the 22700 block of Harlow Avenue in Helena Township.Authorities said the first deputy arrived at the scene within four minutes of the crash. When he pulled up to the scene, both of the vehicles had caught on fire.The investigation showed that an SUV traveling southbound on Harlow Avenue completely crossed the centerline and struck a northbound car head on.All three of the occupants of the northbound vehicle suffered non-life threatening injuries. They each were able to exit the vehicle and were later transported to Mayo Health Systems - New Prague by ambulance.The driver of the SUV was pronounced dead at the scene.
The investigation remains open.
