Baton Rouge, LA : Single-vehicle fatal crash in St. Landry Parish on Sunday, 3rd June 2018

State Police have arrested a Bunkie man in the single-vehicle crash Sunday evening in St. Landry Parish that claimed the life of an unrestrained passenger, Master Trooper Brooks David said in a news release.

The crash happened shortly before 6 p.m. on LA 182 near Cotton Patch Road as 30-year-old Alfredo Segura-Prado was driving north on LA 182 in a 2005 GMC Sierra. While in a left curve in the roadway, the vehicle crossed the center line into the southbound lane, David said. Prado over-corrected to the right, ran off of the right side of the roadway, and struck a tree as the vehicle began to overturn.
