1 dead, 2 injured in Finksburg 3-vehicle crash
One person was killed and two were injured in a three-car crash near the Carroll County-Baltimore County line.
The incident began when the driver of a 2001 Toyota Tundra crossed the center line on Route 140 in Finksburg on Tuesday afternoon, police said.
The Tundra crashed into a 2007 Toyota Corolla driving the opposite direction, pushing it into a 2008 Mercedes SGL320 and overturning the Corolla onto the shoulder of the road.
The driver of the Corolla, Ruchita Pandya, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the Tundra, identified as William Mark Lehr, was flown to Shock Trauma for treatment of injuries that were not expected to be life-threatening.
The driver of the SGL320 suffered minor injuries but refused treatment, police said.
All lanes of Route 140 in the area were closed while Maryland State Police investigated the crash.
The cause of the crash was not immediately known.
