Newnan, GA : Family injured after a car accident in Moreland Wednesday morning, September 28, 2016
A woman was airlifted to Atlanta after a car accident in Moreland Wednesday morning.
Just after 7:30 a.m., the driver of a Hyundai was attempting to make a left turn on Ball Street, according to Sgt. Katie Thompson with the Georgia State Patrol.
She was struck in the side by a Chevy Tahoe traveling south on Hwy 29, injuring her and two children traveling in the car.
Jessica Gresham, 24, was transported by air to Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta. Her two children, ages 7 and 2, were taken by ground to Egleston Children’s Hospital in Atlanta. Their conditions are unknown, but all were alert and talking at the scene of the accident, according to Thompson.
The driver of the Tahoe was also carrying two children in the backseat, but only sustained minor injuries. All three declined medical treatment.
No alcohol or drugs are believed to be involved and the accident is still under investigation by the Georgia State Patrol.
