CORYELL COUNTY, TX : Two dead in I-14 rollover crash on Sunday, 16th July 2023

Nakoda Cheyenne Layton, 18, of Troy, Texas, and a 17-year-old girl were killed when they were thrown out of a Dodge Ram 2500 pickup that rolled after going into an embankment off Interstate-14, The Texas Department of Public Safety said.

Neither Cheyenne nor the juvenile were restrained in the vehicle at the time of the wreck, DPS said.

Troopers responded at approximately 12:52 a.m. July 17 to the single-vehicle rollover on IH-14 near mile marker 278.

DPS said Cheyenne was driving the Dodge Ram eastbound when he “failed to drive in a single lane, and left the roadway.”
