BLOUNTVILLE, TN : Woman dies following wreck in Bloomingdale on May, Friday, 12th 2017

A woman has died from injuries she sustained in a single-vehicle accident Friday morning, the Sullivan County Sheriff's Office reports.According to a statement from the SCSO, at approximately 9:15 a.m. Friday, deputies responded to a crash on Forrest View Road. The driver was transported to a local hospital, where she died as a result of her injuries.

The Sullivan County Fatal Incident Reconstruction Support Team (FIRST) responded to the scene, and according to the release, initial indications are that the vehicle left the roadway while traveling south on Forrest View, went down an embankment, struck a utility pole and came to rest in a creek.

The SCSO stated that the wreck occurred at the intersection with Myron Street in the Bloomingdale community.

Major Keith Elton said in the release that the investigation is continuing and that the name of the driver and other details will become available at a later date.
