STUART, FL : A 58-year-old man was killed in a fiery car crash on Tuesday, 26th December 2017
A 58-year-old man was killed Tuesday morning in a fiery car crash on southbound Interstate 95 near Stuart, the Florida Highway Patrol reports.
Authorities identified the man as Michael Kenneth Cucore, of Port St. Lucie. According to a sheriff’s crash report, Cucore was driving near mile marker 99, south of the Stuart and Indiantown exit, at about 10:30 a.m. when his 2017 Hyundai Accent crashed into the rear of a Toyota 4-Runner SUV.
The Hyundai went off the roadway, struck a tree and caught fire, authorities said. Cucore was rushed to Martin Memorial South where he was pronounced dead. The driver of the Toyota and three passengers all escaped injury, the report said.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
