Plano, TX : Congressman Ralph Hall, 91, injured in Fannin County car crash on Saturday afternoon, October 4, 2014

The oldest-ever member of the U.S. House of Representatives was airlifted to a Texas hospital Saturday due to injuries from a car accident, though a spokesman said the congressman is expected to recover. Texas Republican Ralph Hall suffered a hip injury and minor cuts and bruises when a car turned in front of his vehicle, according to spokesman Ed Valentine. The drivers were not injured. The 91-year-old congressman was conscious while he was taken by helicopter to Medical Center of Plano. Doctors expect a full recovery, Valentine said.
