Rapid City, SD : Pamela Teller, 63, died in single-vehicle accident on East Fairmont Boulevard on Thursday morning, February 4, 2016

A Rapid City woman died early this morning when her pickup ran into a tree on East Fairmont Boulevard just west of Cambell Street.

Pamela Teller, 63, was dead at the scene, according to a release from the Rapid City Police Department. The pickup had been westbound just before the crash, which occurred at about 2:35 a.m.

Teller was the driver, and no one else was in the pickup.

The release said the preliminary investigation led officers to think that Teller may have suffered a "medical event" before her pickup left the roadway.
