Hamilton, OH : 16-year-old boy killed in ATV crash in Madison Township on Wednesday, July 6, 2016

A sheriff's official says a 16-year-old boy has been killed in the crash of all-terrain vehicle at a fishing lake in southwest Ohio.

Sgt. Reggie Bronnenberg of the Butler County Sheriff's Office says the ATV crash was reported around 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at Stony Meadows Fishing Lake in Madison Township. Bronnenberg says the boy was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Hamilton-Middletown Journal-News reports that the teenager was the only occupant on the ATV. His name and hometown weren't immediately released.

Bronnenberg says the crash happened on private property and remains under investigation.
