Greenville, OH : Two drivers hurt in head-on crash on Ohio 571 in Greenville on Sunday morning, October 19, 2014
Two male drivers were seriously injured following a head-on crash just east of the City of Greenville Sunday morning.
Preliminary investigation revealed that a male driver of a Hyundai Sonata was eastbound on State Route 571 when he collided head-on with a westbound Ford Focus on the 5700 block at approximately 11:35 a.m., just east of Greenville Technology, Inc. (GTI). Police say it appears one of the drivers went left of center, but details are still pending further investigation.
Both drivers had to be extricated from their vehicles. The male driver of the Sonata, who is said to be a local resident, was transported to Wayne HealthCare with injuries. The man driving the Focus was airlifted to Miami Valley Hospital. Their conditions are unknown at this time.
The crash is under investigation by the Accident Reconstruction Team, the Greenville Police Department and the Darke County Sheriff’s Office.
