Hickory, NC : Police search for car involved in Hickory hit-and-run crash on Wednesday, December 31, 2014

Hickory police are looking for a car involved in a Wednesday night hit and run and they say they need your help.

According to police, the vehicle hit Ashley Nicole Pearson while she was walking across the 500 block of 2nd Avenue SE near Lenoir-Rhyne Boulevard SE and left the scene around 10 p.m.

Pearson was taken to Frye Regional Medical Center after the accident and later transferred to Baptist Hospital in Winston.

Police say, based on evidence, the suspect vehicle is most likely a passenger size car with damage to the passenger side head light and turn signal. Pieces of the debris can be seen in the pictures.
