Bismarck, ND : Bismarck man killed in rear-end collision on Friday, 23rd September 2016

A Bismarck man was killed in a rear-end collision that occurred Friday afternoon near New Salem.

The 36-year-old man was driving a 2016 Dodge Ram westbound on Interstate 94 when he rear-ended a 1987 Ford Ranger that was being driven by a 68-year-old man from New Salem, according to North Dakota Highway Patrol.

The Dodge Ram partially drove onto a small utility trailer being pulled by the Ford Ranger. The Dodge Ram entered a ditch where the Ford Ranger was also overturned onto its left side.

The Bismarck man was transported to Sanford Health in Bismarck where he was pronounced dead. The man from New Salem was transported to CHI St. Alexius Health and treated for minor injuries.
