Car Strikes, Kills Pedestrian on Cimarron Road

Metro Police are investigating a fatal accident involving a pedestrian at Cimarron Road and Laredo Street, south of Sahara Avenue.The accident happened at approximately 5:17 p.m. Sunday. Police say a 33-year-old female pedestrian was jaywalking across Cimarron, when a Honda Accord that was traveling northbound on Cimarron struck her.The woman died at the scene of the accident. This is the 94th fatal accident in Metro's jurisdiction this year and the 39th involving a pedestrian.The Clark County Coroner's Office will identify the victim once next of kin have been notified.
