A Gray Court woman died in a motorcycle crash in Simpsonville on Wednesday afternoon.
Authorities with the South Carolina Highway Patrol said a car hit the motorcycle on Neely Ferry Road near the Neely Farm subdivision about 4:15 p.m.
Investigators said Natalie Shafer, 17, of Florida, was traveling south when she made a left turn in front of the motorcyclist and struck her.
The motorcyclist was identified as Antoinette Cummings, 48. Officials said she was not wearing a helmet.
Cummings was taken to Greenville Memorial Hospital, where she died of her injuries.
Shafer was cited for failure to yield the right of way.
