Weber County, UT : Motorist dies in fiery I-84 crash on Wednesday, May 11, 2016
Passing motorists pulled a driver's body out of a burning car Wednesday on Interstate 84 in Weber County.
The driver died at the scene, according to the Utah Highway Patrol.
The driver, who was in his 60s, was driving a Cadillac Escalade east on I-84 about 6 p.m. near South Weber when the vehicle left the road and struck a bridge, Utah Highway Patrol reported. The man wasn't wearing a safety belt, according to UHP.
The Escalade caught fire, prompting passersby to stop and pull the man's body out of the vehicle.
Police did not release the man's name as of Wednesday night.
