Lincoln City, OR: Vehicle into river, one person deceased on Thursday, July 23rd 2015
Oregon State Police (OSP) troopers and emergency personnel responded to the report of a single vehicle crash on Highway 18 near milepost 12 east of Lincoln City.As emergency crews arrived on the scene, they found a 1999 Ford F250 pickup at the bottom of the bank of the Little Salmon River. The operator, Ladrue V. Cramer, 76, of Sherwood, was pronounced deceased at the scene.OSP investigators said preliminary information indicates Cramer's vehicle was traveling eastbound on Highway 18 when it drifted off the roadway and he lost control. The vehicle continued off the roadway and landed upside down in the Little Salmon River. Cramer was wearing his safety belt.OSP said the investigation is still continuing and more information will be released when it is available.The Oregon Department of Transportation, North Lincoln Fire & Rescue, West Valley Medics, Tillamook County District Attorney's Office and Pacific West Ambulance assisted OSP in the investigation at the scene of the incident.
