JUPITER, FL : Two paramedics died in a rollover crash on Thursday, June 1, 2017
Two paramedics died in a rollover crash that also injured a third person in Florida.
In a statement, Bill Hall of American Medical Response said 51-year-old Lahiri Garcia and 36-year-old Paul Besaw were killed in the crash early Thursday in Jupiter, which is north of West Palm Beach. Garcia was a critical care supervisor and Besaw was a critical care paramedic.
Jupiter police spokeswoman Kristin Rightler tells local news outlets no patients were in the ambulance when it crashed around 3 a.m.
The injured person was taken to a trauma center.
Witnesses told police that a car attempted a U-turn in front of the ambulance.
Jupiter police are investigating the crash.
