WEEKI WACHEE, FL : FHP searching for driver involved in Hernando crash that killed girl, 17 on U.S. 19, near the intersection on Glen Lakes Boulevard on Thursday, 23rd August 2018

The Florida Highway Patrol is searching for a car that was driving erratically and left the scene of a rollover crash that killed a 17-year-old Spring Hill girl.

The crash took place at about 4:42 p.m. on U.S. 19, near the intersection on Glen Lakes Boulevard. The FHP gave this account of the incident:

Jarod Lucas Water, 20, of Hudson was driving a 2001 Jeep Cherokee north on U.S. 19. Riding with him was Kendell Jordan Tucker of Spring Hill.

A silver Volkswagen sedan traveled north alongside the Jeep in the inside lane, the FHP said.
