Cullman,AL : Cullman man died in pedestrian accident on I-65 on April, friday 28th 2017

A Cullman man died Friday after being struck by a vehicle on Interstate 65 near Decatur.

According to Alabama State Troopers, Dana Leland Chandler, 60, of Cullman was on foot when he was struck and killed shortly after midnight.

A release from the Troopers’ Decatur Post said Chandler was struck by a 2013 Peterbilt tractor trailer at the interstate’s 338 mile marker in Limestone County. The accident occurred in the vicinity of the Tennessee River bridge.

Chandler was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the truck was not injured in the crash.

Troopers are investigating the circumstances of the accident
