Sidney, OH : No one injuries in Northbound Interstate 75 crash on Friday September 25 2015.
Northbound Interstate 75 was shut down for about an hour and a half tonight after a car lost control and was struck by a van.
No injuries were reported in the collision between a Dodge Charger and Ford van that was reported just before 7:20 p.m. between state Routes 47 and 29, said Trooper Jordan Monnin of the Ohio State Highway Patrol’s Piqua Post.
“The Charger was in the right lane and went off the roadway and struck a guardrail, which caused the vehicle to spin out and was struck by the Ford van,” Monnin said.
Monnin said accident was likely due to the Charger driver’s unfamiliarity with the construction zone on that stretch of highway. The driver, who was from Cincinnati, was cited for failure to control, the trooper said.
The Charger was towed from the scene, but the van, driven by a Dayton man, was able to be driven, he said.
