Cullman, AL : Arab man killed in wreck on Highway 69 east of Cullman early Tuesday, March 22, 2016

A Marshall County man was killed early Tuesday in a two-vehicle accident along Alabama Highway 69.

David Cecil Franklin, 72, of Arab was killed when the 2010 Toyota he was driving struck a 2003 Kia, according to Alabama State Troopers.

The accident occurred at approximately 6:30 a.m. at the 248 mile marker of Highway 69, one mile east of Cullman near the highway’s interchange with Alabama Highway 157.

Franklin was pronounced dead at the scene, according to troopers. The driver of the Kia was not injured.

Curtis Summerville, Public Information Officer for the troopers’ Huntsville post, said no further information was available Tuesday as troopers continue to investigate the accident.
