Garden City,KS : Five injured in Scott City accident on November, Sunday 10th 2017

Five people were injured, including four children, in a two-vehicle accident late Sunday afternoon in Scott City.

A 1994 Chevy Suburban driven by Ellsworth L. Burch, 81, Marienthal, was southbound on U.S. Highway 83 at about 5:06 p.m. Sunday, when a 2004 Ford F150 driven by Gabriel Aaron Bowers, 15, Healy, pulled out in front of and collided with the Suburban in the intersection of Alice Street and U.S. 83, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol. Bowers had been stopped at a stop sign on Alice Street.

Neither Bowers nor Burch were injured, but five passengers in Burch’s vehicle were taken to Scott County Hospital with injuries. The five passengers who were injured were: Mildred Evelyn Burch, 73, Marienthal; Sophia Hermosillo, 14, Marienthal; Sadie Hermosillo, 12, Marienthal; Abbie Hermosillo, 11, Marienthal; and Addie Allaman, 9, Marienthal.

Everyone involved in the accident was wearing a seat belt, according to the KHP.
