MEIGS COUNTY, OH : Driver facing charges after hit-and-run incident involving construction workers on Wednesday, 28th August 2024

A driver accused of hitting two construction workers and leaving the scene of the accident is now facing charges.

Jonathan S. Rees, 62, Racine, faces potential criminal charges of aggravated vehicular assault, failing to stop after an accident, and OVI, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

Officials say the incident happened on Monday while the workers were pouring concrete curbs in the village of Racine.
