A man who died in a two-vehicle crash Monday evening in eastern El Paso County has been identified as John Griffin, 38, of Colorado Springs, the Colorado State Patrol said Tuesday in a release.
Griffin was not wearing a seatbelt and died at the scene, the State Patrol said.
He was driving a Honda Civic and pulled out from a stop sign on northbound Milne Road into the path of an Acura that was eastbound on Squirrel Creek Road, the State Patrol said. Troopers said failure to yield led to the deadly crash.
The Acura driver, Sue Hill, 56, of Fountain, was cited for drunken driving. She was treated at a hospital for serious injuries, troopers said.
