Motorcyclist killed in crash near Wenona was from Missouri

The motorcyclist who died Friday in a crash on southbound Interstate 39 in Marshall County has been identified as a Missouri man.
Patrick E. Timberlake, 53, of Linn, Mo.. was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident at 4 p.m., Marshall County Coroner Dave Lenz said.Lenz said an autopsy is scheduled for Sunday to determine the official cause of death, but it will most likely be due to a traumatic head injury.Timberlake was driving a 1984 Honda Goldwing on Interstate 39 near Wenona when its rear tire blew out at around 3:30 p.m. He was thrown from the bike when it overturned, according to Illinois State Police.Timberlake was not wearing a helmet, police said.
