A 31-year-old Cairo man died Sunday in a single-vehicle accident in Grady County, according to authorities.
Lewis Lorenzo Oliver was driving a 2008 Ford Super Duty pickup on Highway 111 when the accident occurred, according to Sgt. 1st Class Tommy Peeples, Thomasville Post 12 Georgia State Patrol commander. The accident occurred near mile marker 15 in Grady County.
Oliver was traveling northbound and drifted off the right shoulder of the roadway, Peeples said.
"He overcorrected his steering, causing his vehicle to rotate counter-clockwise and travel off the left side of the roadway," he said.
