SYRACUSE, NY : Baldwinsville woman dies 2 1/2 weeks after I-690 crash in Syracuse on Saturday, 27th April 2019
A Baldwinsville woman has died 2 1/2 weeks after a crash on Interstate 690 near Teall Avenue in Syracuse.
Lorraine Bard, 52, was driving a 2015 Kia east on I-690 about 2:30 p.m. April when she suffered a medical condition. Her car struck a 2013 Ford sedan, which then hit a 2014 Dodge pickup truck.
Bard was in critical condition at Upstate University Hospital in Syracuse after the crash. Her family said she seemed to be doing better after the crash and was sent to rehab. But then she was hospitalized again last Thursday. Bard died Friday morning.“We’re hurting so bad right now,” one family member said, asking not to be named in the article.
Family members described Bard as someone who listened, but didn’t judge; someone who gave to others, but didn’t want recognition; and someone who wouldn’t accept thanks, but instead told others to be good to others -- especially those they did not know.
“The Earth is really going to miss somebody who is truly a great person,” her family said.
