Jamestown, ND : Idaho woman died in a two-vehicle crash on U.S. Highway 85 on Friday, November, 3rd 2017
An Idaho woman died in a two-vehicle crash on U.S. Highway 85 about 4 miles west of Arnegard, N.D., Friday afternoon, according to the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
The patrol said Robyn Johnson, 51, of Roberts, Idaho, died at the scene of the crash. She was a passenger in a 2004 GMC Envoy SUV driven by Allen Parkinson, 52, of Sugar City, Idaho.
Parkinson was driving east on Hwy. 85 from Williston to Watford City when the GMC Envoy started to slide, rotated counter clockwise and entered the westbound lane. The GMC struck a 2016 Toyota Highlander SUV that was westbound on Hwy. 85 driven by Duane Lindgren, 64, of Fergus Falls, Minn., with passenger Joy Lindgren, 61, of Fergus Falls.
Parkinson and both Lindgrens were transported by McKenzie County Ambulance Service to McKenzie County Healthcare Systems in Watford City. The drivers and passengers of both vehicles wore seat belts.
The patrol is investigating the crash.
The McKenzie County Sheriff’s Department, Arnegard Fire Protection District and Alexander Fire and Rescue also responded to the scene.
