Tallahassee, FL : A Winter Springs man died in a crash on Saturday, October, 7th 2017

A Winter Springs man died in a crash Saturday afternoon in Casselberry, according to Florida Highway Patrol.

Jakin Foster, 24, was pronounced dead at South Seminole Hospital, Florida Highway Patrol spokeswoman Sgt. Kim Montes said.

Foster and driver Geoffrey Gaudoin, 22, were traveling in a 2003 Ford Mustang “at a high rate of speed” southbound on East Lake Drive, Montes said. Gaudoin lost control and the Mustang drove into the center median, Montes said. The right side of the car hit a tree.

Gaudoin, of Orlando, was taken to South Seminole Hospital with minor injuries.

Charges against Gaudoin are pending and the investigation is still still active, Montes said.
