LAWRENCE COUNTY, AL : Courtland man killed in Lawrence County crash on Monday, 16th September 2024

A Courtland man died in a single-vehicle crash in Lawrence County on Monday, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.

The accident happened shortly before 6 p.m. on Alabama 33 near Lawrence County 286, approximately four miles southeast of Courtland.

Authorities said 40-year-old Melvin Reedus Jr. was killed when his 2017 Infiniti Q50 left the roadway, struck a mailbox, a utility pole, a gas line, and then a tree.
