Richmond, VA : Dinwiddie man, 83, killed in crash with tractor-trailer in Prince George County on Monday morning, January 2, 2017

A Dinwiddie County man died Monday morning after his truck crashed into a tractor-trailer in Prince George County.

James C. Mitchell, 83, was pronounced dead at the scene after his 1989 Dodge truck collided with a tractor-trailer traveling in the opposite direction about 1:30 a.m., according to police.

Mitchell was heading west in the 8700 block of County Drive when the crash happened, police said.
The tractor-trailer's driver was taken to Southside Regional Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
