A Fort Carson soldier was killed in an ATV accident over the weekend.
Sgt. Miguel Diaz, 26, was on his seventh year of enlistment, according to Fort Carson.
Diaz's ATV reportedly crashed in a field near the intersection of Mesa Ridge Parkway and Autumn Glen Avenue in Colorado Springs at about 2:15 p.m. Sunday, according to a release from El Paso County Sheriff's Office.
Emergency personnel responded to the scene but their efforts to save Diaz's life were not successful.
