Two Topeka teenagers were taken to a local hospital after a single-vehicle rollover crash Wednesday evening in Osage County, authorities said.

The crash was reported at 5:22 p.m. Wednesday on US-75 highway, about 3 miles north of Carbondale.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, a 2004 Honda Civic drifted off the right edge of the roadway. The driver overcorrected, and the car entered the west ditch, where it rolled once and landed on its wheels.

A passenger in the Honda, Katelyn E. Seastrom, 14, of Topeka, was reported injured. She, too, was taken to Stormont Vail.

The patrol said both teens were wearing seat belts.

The patrol’s online crash log didn’t indicate the car’s direction of travel.
