Panama City, FL : Lynn Haven man killed in crash on Sunday, September 24th 2017

A Lynn Haven man driving a Corvette on S.R. 388 was killed in a single-car wreck Sunday evening.

According to Florida Highway Patrol reports, Patrick Joseph, 51, was attempting to pass another vehicle on the roadway at around 5:50 p.m. when he lost control of his vehicle. Heavy rains had been passing through the area all afternoon, and FHP reports the sports car lost traction, sliding onto the grass shoulder and striking a power pole and several standing trees before coming to a stop in the wood line on the side of the road.

Joseph was transported to Bay Medical Sacred Heart, where he was pronounced deceased. He was wearing a seatbelt. The other vehicle is not identified in the report and there are no charges pending.
