Erie, PA : Elderly man seriously injured in west Erie car/pedestrian accident on Tuesday, December, 5th 2017
An 86-year-old man was seriously injured Tuesday afternoon when he was struck by a vehicle at West Sixth and Walnut streets in Erie, police said.
The man was walking south on Walnut Street and was crossing West Sixth Street at about 5:10 p.m. when he was struck by a Chevy Cobalt heading eastbound on West Sixth Street, police said.
The man landed on the vehicle’s hood and struck the windshield. The man suffered serious injuries and was taken to UPMC Hamot for treatment. The driver of the Cobalt — a man — was uninjured.
