Two out-of-state men were involved in an early-morning collision Thursday near the intersection of Route 133 and Danby Pawlet Road in Pawlet.

Cole Elmendorf, 23, of Bozeman, Mont., was heading south in his 1986 Ford F-150 when his vehicle lost traction, according to police. Elmendorf slid into an eastbound 2006 Ford F-250 driven by Nelson St. Marie, 59, of Granville, N.Y., at around 6:35 a.m., police said.

Police said both men were wearing seat belts, and neither driver reported any injury.

The collision damaged the driver side of Elmendorf’s truck, the drive shaft and rear axle when it crashed into the snow plow attachment on St. Marie’s truck. St. Marie’s truck and plow attachment received moderate damage.

Vermont State Police and the Pawlet Fire Department responded to the crash. Local tow services removed both vehicles.
