Mount Clemens, MI : Two Chesterfield men hospitalized following head-on collision on Sunday, October, 29th 2017
Two Chesterfield Township men remain hospitalized today after they were involved in a head-on collision, according to police.
Chesterfield Township police said a white 2003 Ford F-150 pickup truck was headed south on Gratiot Avenue south of 25 Mile Road when it crossed over into the northbound lanes, colliding with a black Dodge Ram truck at 5:45 a.m. Sunday.
Fire crews extricated both the 22-year-old man driving the Ford F-150 and the 60-year-old driver of the Dodge Ram, and transported them to McLaren Macomb hospital in Mount Clemens.
Detective Sgt. Deron Myers said both men are reported to be listed in critical but stable condition,
Officers investigating the crash found suspected marijuana and prescription medication inside the cab of the Ford F-150. Myers said it’s not yet known if the controlled substances were a contributing factor in the crash.
